I am thrilled that a short story of mine, She-Clown has been shortlisted for the Manchester Fiction Prize. I find the short story form the most exacting of all the forms I write in and the hardest to get ‘right’. She-Clown is a story I have been working on for at least five years and it’s only two thousand words long! You can read my story and the others shortlisted here
I just read your story. Loved the worms burrowing through the body – below the surface of the words.
